The interactive methodological portal Methodos offers several access options to several methods, which are usually used in product development, and provides comprehensive descriptions. The term "interactive" refers to the fact that users of the Methodos portal can share their experiences and assessments on individual methods, in order to improve the teaching at the TU Braunschweig through valuable feedback.

in the Methodos Portal.
The legal basis for data protection can be found in the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemediengesetz (TMG).
The servers on which the data from the Methodos Portal are located are technically protected against unauthorized access from the outside
(firewall technology.) For transmissions, SSL-encrypted Internet pages will be used, but the data transmission on the Internet may
have security gaps We do not accept any liability for the damage caused by such security gaps.
The use of the Methodos portal and all functions is voluntary. You can decide for yourself whether and which content you want to share as part of the contributions and comments (see below). An indication of the name is not mandatory.
Your Internet browser automatically transmits data to our web server (so-called server log files) for every access to our pages for technical reasons. The following data are logged anonymously:
IP address, time, HTTP request and code, transferred data size (bytes), called URL including parameters, client ID (mostly browser incl. Version), and referrer, if applicable.
These data can not be attributed to specific persons. They are stored for a maximum of one year. We use this log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of the operation and security of the portal. There is no transfer to third parties for commercial or non-commercial purposes. However, we reserve the right to review these data at a later date if we are aware of any concrete evidence of unlawful use.
For research purposes as well as for the appropriate design of the methodos portal, we collect usage data on your search requests (search text and all selected filters) as well as your calls to the content on our pages. Usage data is all personal data that is required to enable you to use the Methodos portal.
For each visitor to our website, a random value (session key) is generated which describes it in this session, regardless of its log-in or profile data. All calls are logged using the generated session key, whereby no connection data or user data are additionally stored. Thus a pseudonymized recording of the user behavior is made possible. These pseudonymized usage profiles are not merged with data on the bearer of the pseudonym. We evaluate these data at individual times (for example, shortly before the end of the test operation) in order to determine relevant elements within the contents presented, thus also optimizing the representations and contents according to the general user behavior.
You have the right to object to the use of your usage data at any time against the Institute for Engineering Design of the TU Braunschweig.
Personal data is information by means of which a person can be identified, i.e. information which can be traced back to a person. This includes the name, the e-mail address, the telephone number or y number. But also data on preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites have been viewed by someone, belong to personal data.
The use of our pages is normally possible without giving personal data. Personal data will be collected or processed only with your prior consent or voluntary disclosure. You can revoke the consent to the data storage in writing (eg by e-mail or fax) with immediate effect. The transfer of the data to third parties will not take place without your express consent.
In order to leave comments on the methods or other contributions (for example, practical examples), you must register with valid registration data (usually the GITZ user ID of the TU Braunschweig). If you comment on methods or provide them with other contributions (eg. practical examples), your registration data will be saved. This is to our safety, if someone interferes with the rights of third parties and/or makes illegal content (eg insults, prohibited political propaganda) through comments or contributions. In this case, we and the author may be prosecuted for such infringements, which is why we are interested in the author's identity. Data will not be passed on to third parties.
All comments and contributions will be deleted after 10 years with the corresponding data. Before the expiry of 10 years, you have the possibility to delete the contributions and comments you have made yourself, or to submit an application for deletion to the Institute of Design Engineering of the TU Braunschweig. On request, contributions and comments can be saved for more than 10 years. For this purpose, a corresponding consent must be given when creating the contributions and comments.
We use so-called cookies on our sides to recognize a multiple use of our offer by the same user / internet-owner. They serve on the one hand the user-friendliness of web pages and thus the users, e.g. Storage of logindata. On the other hand they are used to record the statistical data of the website and to be able to analyze them for the purpose of improving the offer.
You can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option to restrict or prevent the saving of cookies. However, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that the deactivation of cookies limits the functionality of our pages and, in particular, the ease of use.
You have the right to request to receive free information about your stored personal data, as well as the origin and recipient of the data and the purpose of the data processing, as well as a right to rectify, block or delete this data if there is no statutory retention requirement. The application is to be addressed to the Institute of Engineering Engineering of the Technical University of Braunschweig.
In the course of the further development of our website and the implementation of new technologies, changes to this data protection declaration may also be necessary. We reserve the right to change our security and data protection measures as far as is necessary for technical development. In these cases, we will also adapt our privacy policy accordingly. We therefore recommend that you review this privacy policy occasionally.
